We’re looking for 10 Melbourne adults in their 30s-50s to help us test a new sleep tracking technology from the comfort of their own home.
We want to explore a simple question:
Can sleep tracking help us better understand our sleep and wellbeing without creating more pressure to optimise another part of our lives?

Why are we doing this?
Sleep and mental health are closely connected.
Stress and emotional wellbeing can affect how we sleep, while disrupted sleep can influence our mood, concentration and how we function during the day.
But sleep also happens within the context of our lives: work, caring for children, supporting ageing parents, family expectations and other responsibilities can all affect our ability to rest and recover.
This may be particularly relevant for people from Asian communities, where intergenerational and family caregiving responsibilities can play an important role in everyday life.
We’re interested in whether sleep tracking can help people become more curious and informed about their sleep and wellbeing while avoiding the pressure, anxiety or pursuit of “perfect sleep” that can sometimes come with self-tracking.
