Family Conflict
Sep 15, 2026
One thing that we hear constantly is that people want to talk to mental health practitioners who share similar lived experiences. There is immense value in this, because it helps us feel truly seen, heard, and understood without having to explain the baseline of who we are.
Our families play a pivotal role in our lives, and while they can bring us lots of joy, can often also be a source of conflict and stress. Differences in cultural expectations across generations, and a lack of appropriate language to truly understand one another, can both lead to conflict within the family. This experience is normal, and you are not alone.
That’s why we’ve compiled this post featuring practitioners from our list who have personal, lived experience with family conflict, and would love to support you on this journey. We hope this helps you find a practitioner who truly resonates with your story.
