April: Try out our new website!
Hello there,
We have a brand new website which I'm so excited to finally be sharing with you today!
As our Asian Mental Health Practitioner List grew to over 100+ practitioners early last year, we knew that we had to upgrade our website to make it easier to search for a therapist.
Please find the new and improved Asian Mental Health Practitioner List HERE.
If you know someone searching for a therapist, we would love for you to share this new site with them!
Please consider this new website like a little Bambi version... the site is still trying to find its feet and there may still be a few glitches that we're working through as we find them!
And, if you do find any broken links or things that don't work, we would love for you to let us know by replying to this email. Thank you!

📖 A research article you might be interested in:
Chatwiriyaphong and colleagues explored how South East Asian health professional (nurses, psychiatrists, social workers etc.) and students (medical, nursing, OT) viewed mental health recovery, and found that most of them understood it as a reduction in negative symptoms, returning to "normal" states of functioning, and adhering to medication. This shows that recovery in these contexts often emphasises a medical approach, which may overlook personal experiences of health. A shift towards better understanding how best to promote positive adjustment, rather than solely focusing on symptom reduction, may be key to empowering individuals to lead meaningful lives in the face of mental health struggles.
